Girish Gaitonde, the founder of SAFEdge, recognized the need to optimize the returns on the medium term (3 months to 24 months) cash while running Xoriant Corporation, his previous company. This requirement of cash optimization became increasingly severe as the company scaled in growth and profitability.
Girish has also been trading index options to achieve defined income for the last 20-plus years. During this successful trading stint, Girish and his colleagues came up with a unique strategy that yielded returns above treasury rate with mitigated risk and cash availability at a predefined time frame. Over the past two years, Girish has applied this formula to his personal capital and has observed results consistent with the model’s underlying thesis

Prior to SAFEdge, Girish founded and grew Xoriant Corporation to $300M with an employee strength of 6000. Xoriant was sold to a private equity company in 2022.
Girish brings a unique combination of technology depth in software engineering and investment management and trading in various instruments. He has an MBA in Finance from Chicago Booth, an MS in EE from the Penn State University and a B.Tech in EE from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He is a Distinguished Alumnus both of Chicago Booth and IIT Bombay and an Outstanding Engineer at Penn State.
